DOC Menfi

Over time, Menfi has attracted the interest of winegrowers, thanks to its position along the Mediterranean coast from sandy soils that reaches up to the middle hill with calcareous soils, a small ecosystem considered a frontier place for wines: mineral whites that taste of sea and wind and intense reds that arise in the hills of the hinterland. The cultivation of vines here was already well developed at the time of the Greek-Megarian colonization of Selinunte and today has given prominence to autochthonous varieties (Inzolia, Catarratto, Grecanico, Nero d'Avola) and international (Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot).

Here the complete disciplinary and here a clear analysis made by the winemaker Marilena Barbera
